Vaughan Ministries

about us

Nannette Vaughan was born and raised in the New River Valley of Virginia, surrounded by musical influences that ranged from Appalachian bluegrass legends like Ralph Stanley, to a polar opposite, The Temptations. She was the picture of perfection as far as the world could see, excelling in academics and athletics, but had been plagued with depression from an early age and had begun attempts at taking her own life at a mere twelve years. At sixteen, as many teenagers do, she began to search for love and acceptance in people, and sank into a life of abuse, alcohol, and drugs. In 1994, she witnessed the power of God in her own life, through an extraordinary chain of events which led her straight to the source of love she had so desperately needed.

Shortly after receiving the salvation that was bought through Jesus' blood, she began to write Christian music, and through the Spirit, and God's anointing, has written approximately 50 songs to date. She traveled in music ministry for approximately 6 years, sharing her testimony of God's grace to men, women, and children across the country. Then, in 2006, the path of ministry led her to leave the mountains of Virginia behind and move her children to northern Oklahoma, where she was placed on staff as Women's Minister at a church there. During that time, she also led worship at the church, expanding her own music ministry to an exciting new level. Now, she travels with the mission that, through her witness, God will rejuvenate the mature Christian, strengthen the young in Christ, and lead those still lost in darkness back to the Light that we know as Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

I had the opportunity to meet Nannette while she was performing at a cowboy church sponsored event; through this event had the opportunity to have her perform at our church. She was very well received and anytime she was in our area we had the privilege of having her perform & minister. Through God's leading Nannette relocated to Oklahoma; not long after her relocation we had the opportunity to place her on staff as our Women's Minister.

Nannette is one of our favorite Gals. We love having her as a guest at Christian Country Cowboy Church. Our folks always enjoy the spiritual wisdom and advise, common sense attitude and character, and the down home delivery of it all. She's the real deal. She is great at communicating with people right where they are, right where they live. She has a wonderful sense of humor. We have laughed with her on many occasions and cried with her too. Speaking, or sharing her beautiful voice in song, Nannette has truly been a blessing to us. We're glad she has carved out time to be with us so often through the years.
